Sunflower Counseling PLLC
Life is beautiful. It’s also tough. I’m glad you’re here.
The world can be a chaotic and lonely place at times; it takes strength and courage to acknowledge that sometimes a little support could be helpful.
My approach blends evidence-based techniques with a deep passion to help others. It is my honor to accompany you on your mental health journey.
My Journey
While I have been blessed with a wonderful life, I have also had my own personal experience with mental health difficulties and substance use. There are parts of myself that have believed “I’m not good enough” and “I’m awkward”. I’ve had panic attacks, gone through depressive episodes and been on psychiatric medications (some worked, some didn’t). I evaluated my relationship with alcohol and had to choose to stop drinking because it wasn’t doing me any favors.
I share these things to let you know that this a judgement-free, safe space and I’m coming from a place of deep understanding and compassionate support.

Christian Based Counseling
My faith and love of Jesus has been such a grounding force in my life. If you are interested in Christian-based therapy, that is always an option. This doesn’t mean that I will preach at you during session, it’s just an opportunity to interweave your faith into our work together. If you would rather leave religion at the door when you come to session, that is absolutely OK! I have worked with many folks where faith/religion/spirituality is never discussed.
